Cannabis: The Best Medicine on the Planet

Study: Smoking Marijuana Not Linked with Lung Damage
“The evidence is overwhelming that marijuana can relieve certain types of pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms caused by such illnesses as multiple sclerosis, cancer and AIDS—or by the harsh drugs sometimes used to treat them. And it can do so with remarkable safety. Indeed, marijuana is less toxic than many of the drugs that physicians prescribe every day.” - Joycelyn Elders, M.D., Former US Surgeon General
Of all of the herbs in the world, Cannabis is by far the most demonized. Government propaganda against cannabis, hemp, marijuana, weed, or whatever you choose to call it, is monumental. But something that most people don't know about cannabis is that it's one of the most useful plants in the history of the world, if not the most useful of them all. An article in Popular Mechanics in 1938 stated that there are more than 25,000 uses for cannabis/hemp. It can be used for rope, fabric, biodegradable industrial products, plastics, biomass fuels, replacement for wood products, paper, body care products, pet foods, detergents, art supplies, salad oil, and so on. “Hempcrete” is more energy efficient and stronger than standard concrete. One acre of hemp is equal to ten acres of trees and it makes more durable, longer lasting paper. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the USA were drafted on hemp paper. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson grew hemp.
“Make the most of the hemp seed and sow it everywhere.” - George Washington
Early laws in some American colonies required farmers to grow hemp, and they could be jailed for refusing to grow it! Henry Ford's first Model-T was made from plastic made out of hemp fiber, which was ten times stronger than steel. There is a video on YouTube where he swings a large ax against it and it fails to leave a mark! It shows no signs whatsoever of denting! Imagine trying to do that to your own car today! And just think, that technology has been blacklisted because certain people like to make money. What a crime. Additionally, that very same car was designed to run on ethyl alcohol extracted from hemp! Popular Mechanics documented this fact in 1941.
“The fuel of the future (ethyl alcohol) is going to come from fruit like that sumach out by the road, or from apples, weeds, sawdust -- almost anything. There is fuel in every bit of vegetable matter that can be fermented. There's enough alcohol in one year's yield of an acre of potatoes to drive the machinery necessary to cultivate the fields for a hundred years.” - Henry Ford
Additionally, the oil made from hemp seeds is quite sufficient to use in cars as an internal lubricant. As if this threat to the gas, oil and steel industries isn't enough, in the 1930s William Randolph Hearst and his paper manufacturing company supplied most of the paper as well as newspapers in the USA and were likely to lose billions of dollars in profits because of the hemp paper industry. During the same period Dupont had patented the process to make plastic out of oil and coal. Clearly, cannabis was a conflict of interest for numerous corporate swine institutions. Think about it; gas, oil and coal, lumber, plastic, steel, not to mention the medical industry and drug cartels...is it sinking in yet? Hemp was made illegal for the financial incentives of large corporations, not because it's a so-called dangerous drug. If weed being “bad for you” was their reason, then why are cigarettes and alcohol still legal? Why is it OK to put cancer causing chemicals in our food? Why are truly dangerous and worthless drugs like chemotherapy approved by the FDA but cannabis is not? Alcohol kills people all the time. Pot kills nobody. Ever.
“Marijuana prohibition is just the stupidest law possible. Just legalize it and tax it like we do liquor.” - Morgan Freeman[1]
Andrew Mellon was President Herbert Hoover's Secretary of Treasury at the time and he just happened to be the largest investor in Dupont. He appointed the husband of his niece (Harry J. Anslinger) to be in charge of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. With everything set in motion they had several behind closed-door meetings and conspired to make cannabis illegal. A massive propaganda campaign ensued. They gave it a slang name – “marijuana” to make it sound horrible and evil, the newspapers of Hearst ran stories on the “devil's weed,” films like Reefer Madness were produced and a media frenzy of massive propaganda was set in motion. If you've never seen Reefer Madness, I suggest you watch it. It's very clearly a propaganda film because it is so ridiculous. It has become a cult classic among pot smokers who sit and watch it as a form of entertainment. Many corporate enterprises, the lumber industry, gas and oil industries and especially the drug industry stood to lose many billions of dollars if hemp wasn't very quickly removed from the picture.

Perhaps the most impressive use of cannabis is its medicinal value. From 1850 to 1937 medicinal cannabis was used as the prime medicine to treat over 100 separate illnesses or diseases in the US Pharmacopoeia. The Smith Brothers, Parke Davis, Squibb, Lilly, Burroughs Wellcome and other leading drug manufacturers marketed the product under the name of “Extractum Cannabis” and/or “Extract of Hemp.”
Cannabis also just happens to be in China’s oldest known pharmacopeia, Shennong Bencaojing which is based off of texts that are thousands of years older. The legends say that Shennong, the “Father of Chinese Medicine” discovered the healing properties of cannabis, along with ginseng and ephedra. Later Chinese medical texts list cannabis as one of fifty “fundamental” herbs and recommend using every part of the plant for 120 different conditions.
Cannabis is also known in ancient Egyptian medicine, with papyri that included instructions on how to properly administer cannabis and makes recommendations for ophthalmological, obstetric, digestive and urological disorders, glaucoma, premenstrual syndrome and believe it or not, to “paralyze” tumors!
The Assyrians, Greeks, Hindus and Jews also used cannabis as medicine in ancient times and used it to treat various conditions such as impotence, neuralgia, epilepsy, kidney stones, pulmonary congestion, spasticity, depression, anxiety, insomnia, pain, digestion and appetite issues and obstetric conditions.[2] Medical cannabis will do just about anything for you. It will aid and treat:
Alzheimer’s
Anxiety
Arthritis
Asthma
ADHD
ALS
Autism
Autoimmunity
Bipolar Disorder
Cachexia
Cancer
Chronic Fatigue
Crohn’s Disease
Diabetes
Epilepsy
Fibromyalgia
Gastrointestinal

Immune System
Inflammation
Insomnia
Metabolic Syndrome
MS

Opioid Addiction
Pain
Parkinson’s
PTSD
Schizophrenia
Skin Conditions
Spasms
Tourette Syndrome[3]
The reason that it treats so many different conditions successfully is the endocannabinoid system, which is contained throughout the entire body.

“This system, an integral part of our physiologies, was discovered in the mid-1990s by Israeli researcher Dr. Ralph Mechoulam who also identified THC as the main active ingredient in cannabis in the early 1960s. Israel has been one of the most progressive nations for cannabis research and currently has one of the most advanced medical marijuana programs in the world....Dr. Mechoulam’s world-changing research discovered two main receptors, cannabinoid 1 (CB1) and cannabinoid 2 (CB2), that are keyed to both the endocannabinoids that our body naturally produces and phytocannabinoids (plant-based) like THC and CBD. Our bodies actually produce the ECs similar to how our body produces narcotic-like endorphins. Synthetic cannabinoids, like the ones found in Marinol, also fit the receptor sites but don’t work as efficiently as the natural ones.”[4]
I have included multiple peer-reviewed scientific studies[5] below so that you can see just a small fragment of the huge body of science that exists for medical cannabis. These studies come from the very best institutions, yet cannabis is still classified a Schedule I narcotic, which makes it inaccessible to people who need to use it as medicine. It also makes in so that medical schools cannot teach classes on the subject, which means that most “doctors” in the USA don’t even know what the endocannabinoid system is despite the fact that many researchers now consider it to be the largest neurotransmitter system in the human body![6]
“Cannabis is packed with therapeutic substances known as cannabinoids. Thus far researchers have identified eight-five different ones, and suspect there are more. Each cannabinoid individually produces a distinct action in the human body, while different combinations and ratios of cannabinoids produce yet another range of distinct actions. Scientists refer to this as the entourage effect.” - Steven DeAngelo[7]

The DEA defines a Schedule I narcotics as:
“…drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse.”[8]
The organic herb is classified a Schedule I narcotic, dangerous with a high potential for abuse and no medical value they say (which is bullshit) while at the same time Big Pharma produces Marinol, a synthetic pill form of THC, and that’s allowed because the drug companies can make a profit on it! Additionally, Marinol is only classified as a Schedule III making it very easily accessible!
“That’s right, folks: THC in a pill form is the same drug classification as testosterone, ketamine, anabolic steroids, and Tylenol cough syrup with codeine!” - Jesse Ventura[9]
Now take a look at this screen-shot:

Science confirms over and over and over again that cannabis is medicine[10] yet the corrupt “medical system” refuses to recognize it or use it at all because it cuts into drug company profits. Health isn’t a priority, profits are.

They don’t mind if you take a synthetic pill that you bought from Big Pharma, just don’t get your THC straight from the organic source or you’re going to jail! You can give the drug companies your money, that’s not a problem for them! But don’t let them catch you making your own medicine or you’ll be imprisoned and fined! What we have here is an admission that it has medicinal value. Why else would they make THC pills? So the herb is illegal, but if a multinational drug company grinds up that herb, extracts the cannabis sativa and creates synthetic delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, combines it with gelatin, glycerin, iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow, titanium dioxide, markets it to doctors and hospitals under the name Marinol and in the process makes Big Pharma lots of profits, then not only is it legal, it’s medicinal now too, all of a sudden, and no longer dangerous either. OK, I see how that works. And what’s up with this?
“Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This newfound property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and HIV dementia.” - US Patent 6,630,507 - Cannabinoids as Antioxidants and Neuroprotectants[11]
So they can patent CBD as having medicinal properties, they can allow drug companies to make synthetic THC pills, but they won’t allow the plant to be used and it remains at Schedule I, making it inaccessible to patients who will die without it.
“Millions of people have died horrible deaths and, in many cases, families exhausted their savings on dangerous, toxic and expensive drugs. Now we are just beginning to realize that while marijuana has never killed anyone, marijuana prohibition has killed millions.” - Raymond Cushing
