Jesus Christ: The SUN of God

“I have recently been examining all the known superstitions of the world, and do not find in our particular superstition (Christianity) one redeeming feature. They are all alike, founded on fables and mythology.”
- Thomas Jefferson

There is a 111-page pdf called the "Zeitgeist Source Book" located here.
“The Christian religion is a parody on the worship of the Sun, in which they put a man whom they call Christ, in the place of the Sun, and pay him the same adoration which was originally paid to the Sun.” - Thomas Paine
What knowledge do you possess concerning ancient mythology and comparative religion? Do you know that there are a very large number of mythic deities that predate the Bible who share too many parallels to the life story of Jesus for it to be coincidental? The ancient Egyptian story of Horus is virtually identical to the story of Jesus, as you'll soon see.[1] Krishna, Baal, Mithra, Attis, Dionysus and even Buddha share so much of the same story line as Jesus that it’s obviously not a “coincidence.” There is a long list of deities, “Sun Gods,”[2] fifteen that were crucified and resurrected three days later:
“Adonis of Syria, Apollo of Rome, Astarte of Carthage, Attis of Phyrigia, Baal of Babylon, Bacchus of Greece, Balder of Scandinavia, Buddha of India, Hercules of Rome, Horus of Egypt, Krishna of India, Mithra of Persia, Osiris of Egypt, Serapis of Alexandria and Yu of China.”[3]
Did Satan go back in time and create these characters to destroy people’s faith? That’s what many church fathers have said in order to try and explain these obvious problems within their religion. And the fact that they make these kind of excuses makes it clear that they’re admitting the parallels true. The “Satan did it” excuse is the best they’ve ever been able to come up with because they are certainly too stubborn to come out and admit that Jesus is a plagiarized myth from older mythic deities. Justin Martyr, for example, was a second century Christian apologist, a defender of the faith. He claimed that Satan inspired the earlier pagan religions to imitate Christianity. He once said:
“When we say that Jesus Christ was produced without sexual union, was crucified and died, and rose again, and ascended to heaven, we propound nothing new or different from what you believe regarding those whom you call the sons of Jupiter.” - Justin Martyr
He said “nothing new or different” from the older Pagan Gods. So here we have it, straight from the mouth of a very prominent Christian apologist admitting the fact that the Jesus story is totally and completely unoriginal. Here's the story of the ancient Egyptian Sun God Horus from 3000 B.C.:
“Horus was born on Dec 25th via immaculate conception to the virgin Isis-Meri. His birth was signified by a star in the East upon which three kings followed in order to find and adorn the new born savior. Horus’s mother, Isis-Meri flees into another part of Egypt in order to save Horus from Set. Horus was a child prodigy teacher at the age of twelve, there is a gap in his life story from the age of twelve to thirty, and at the age of thirty he is baptized (by Anup the baptizer who is later beheaded) and thus begins his ministry. He had twelve disciples that he traveled about with performing miracles such as healing the sick, restoring sight to the blind, raising the dead and walking on water. Horus was known as “The Truth,” “The Light,” “The Lamb of God,” “The Good Sheppard,” and many other names including the “KRST.” Christ is not a name it is a title which simply means “anointed one.” Horus was betrayed by Typhon, persecuted, put on trial and crucified, buried in a tomb and after three days was resurrected. He was known as the savior of all mankind, and most Egyptians believed him to be a real person. He also happened to deliver a Sermon on the Mount.”[4]
All of this from 3000 B.C.! Furthermore, in ancient Egypt at the winter solstice (December 22 - 25) they had celebrations which featured nativity scenes including a babe in a manger, etc., nothing different from our current version of Christmas.

“In this picture we have the Annunciation, the Conception, the Birth and the Adoration as described in the First and Second chapters of Luke's gospel, and as we have historical assurance that the chapters in Matthew's gospel which contain the miraculous birth of Jesus are an after addition not in the earliest manuscripts, it seems probable that these two poetical chapters in Luke may also be unhistorical, and be borrowed from the Egyptian accounts of the miraculous births of their kings.” - Dr. Samuel C. Sharp[5]
Above we have the Nativity Scene of Amenhotep III at Luxor in the Temple of Amon. Amenhotep III reigned from 1390 to 1352 B.C. This is only one of many examples that we can find for these concepts prior to the four gospels and the New Testament because as I mentioned earlier, the Jesus story is a solar myth. It is common knowledge that the older myths of the world, most of which were the official religions of their time, are all based in allegorical sun worship; for example the old Greek Gods Dionysus and Hercules, or the old Egyptian Gods Horus and Osiris are all allegorical motifs. The life stories of these characters are all based on the same mythic formula (mythos) which is why their life stories are so very similar. These are all stories based in astrology and center around the sun, the moon, the star constellations, the twelve signs of the zodiac, etc. and how they relate to one another. This is why astrology is strictly forbidden in the Bible and in so many Christian churches. Do you think that they want you to discover the truth?
The following are the main characteristics of the “Sun of God”:

(These are still captures from the film Zeitgeist, the video above.)
► The sun of God is “born of a virgin,” which refers to both the new or “virgin” moon and the constellation of Virgo.

► The sun’s “birth” is attended by the “bright Star,” either Sirius/Sothis or the planet Venus, and by the “Three Kings,” representing the three stars in the belt of Orion.

► The sun “dies” for three days at the winter solstice, to be born again or resurrected on December 25th
► The sun at its zenith, or 12 noon, is in the house or heavenly temple of the “Most High”; thus, “he” begins “his Father’s work” at “age” 12. Maxwell relates, “At that point, all Egypt offered prayers to the ‘Most High’ God!”
► The sun enters into each sign of the zodiac at 30°; hence, the “Sun of God” begins his ministry at “age” 30. As Hazelrigg states, “... the Sun of the visible heavens has moved northward 30° and stands at the gate of Aquarius, the Waterbearer, or John the Baptist of the mystic planisphere, and here begins the work of ministry in the Palestine...”
► The sun is the “Carpenter” who builds his daily “houses” or 12 two-hour divisions.
► The sun’s “followers” or “disciples” are the 12 signs of the zodiac, through which the sun must pass.
► The sun “changes water into wine” by creating rain, ripening the grape on the vine and fermenting the grape juice.
► The sun “walks on water,” referring to its reflection.
► The sun “calms the sea” as he rests in the “boat of heaven.” (Mt. 8:237)
► When the sun is annually and monthly reborn, he brings life to the “solar mummy,” his previous self, raising it from the dead.
► The sun triumphantly “rides an ass and her foal” into the “City of Peace” when it enters the sign of Cancer, which contains two stars called “little asses,” and reaches its fullness.
► The sun is the “Lion” when in Leo, the hottest time of the year, called the “throne of the Lord.”
► The sun is “betrayed” by the constellation of the Scorpion, the backbiter, the time of the year when the solar hero loses his strength.
► The sun is “crucified” between the two thieves of Sagittarius and Capricorn.
► The sun is hung on a cross, which represents its passing through the equinoxes, the vernal equinox being Easter.
► The sun darkens when it “dies”: “The solar god as the sun of evening or of autumn was the suffering, dying sun, or the dead sun buried in the nether world.”
► The sun does a “stutterstep” at the winter solstice, unsure whether to return to life or “resurrect,” doubted by his “twin” Thomas.
► The sun is with us “always, to the close of the age” (Mt. 28:20), referring to the ages of the precession of the equinoxes.
► The sun is the “Light of the World,” and “comes on clouds, and every eye shall see him.”
► The sun rising in the morning is the “Savior of mankind.
► The sun wears a corona, “crown of thorns” or halo.
► The sun was the “Son of the Sky (God),” “All-Seeing,” the “Comforter,” “Healer,” “Savior,” “Creator,” “Preserver,” “Ruler of the World,” and “Giver of Daily Life.”
► The sun is the Word or Logos of God.
►The all-seeing sun, or “eye of God,” was considered the judge of the living and dead who returned to Earth “on a white horse.”[7]

The parallels between Christianity and solar mythology as well as ancient Egyptian religion, which is also sun worship, go on and on. Also note that the Bible is overflowing with references to the number twelve such as Jesus entering the temple at the age of twelve, the twelve Apostles, twelve Tribes of Israel, twelve Judges of Israel, twelve Great Patriarchs, twelve (O.T.) Prophets, twelve Kings of Israel, twelve Princes of Israel, etc. which are simply references to the twelve signs of the zodiac. If you take an honest look at the text and the myths that the Bible contains, the astrological theme becomes so obvious that you’ll ask yourself how you could have missed it before

It’s also a known fact that the Vatican was erected upon the ruins of a complex dedicated to Mithra worship. Mithra was a Persian savior with the same story line as Jesus. Mithra worship was common throughout the Roman Empire. Mithraism and Christianity were competitors until the 4th century. Mithra worshipers made fun of Christians, calling Jesus a copycat, plagiarized version of their Mithra. Many followers believed that Mithra was born of a virgin. Mithra performed many miracles, cured many illnesses and cast out devils. Mithra celebrated a Last Supper with his twelve Disciples. He ascended to heaven at the time of the spring equinox, somewhere near March 21st, the first day of spring.
